UPFDA is proud to celebrate Susan Masciarelli, President and CEO of Web-Cote Industries and a member of the UPFDA Board of Directors, on her recent recognition as one of the inaugural 50 Women to KNOW in New Jersey!
Susan was among 50 accomplished women recognized for their professional achievements, leadership, and community impact during the Women to KNOW in New Jersey Gala on October 6, 2026. Presented by The KNOW Women, the recognition celebrates women making a difference in their businesses, industries, and communities. Susan is also featured in the program's inaugural hardcover publication.
For Susan, the honor marks another milestone in an inspiring journey from employee to business owner. She joined Web-Cote Industries in 2008, advancing through operations and executive leadership positions before realizing her longtime dream of purchasing the company in 2024.
Today, Susan leads the Hamburg, New Jersey-based manufacturer of OEM, private-label, and Pro-Trap™ branded glue-based pest management products. Under her leadership, Web-Cote has invested in new manufacturing equipment, expanded its capabilities, and developed new products and partnerships. The company is also a WBENC-certified Women's Business Enterprise.
"Purchasing Web-Cote was the realization of a goal I had worked toward for years," Susan shared. "Ownership has brought new challenges, responsibilities and opportunities to grow. Being included among these accomplished women gave me a moment to appreciate that journey and the people who have helped make it possible."
Leadership Beyond the Business
Susan's commitment to the pest management industry extends well beyond her own company's success. She joined the UPFDA Board of Directors in 2025 and currently chairs the association's Advocacy & Ethics Committee.
She has also become an advocate for responsible pest management practices through her development of the Responsible Glue Trap User (RGTU) training program, which emphasizes education, sound judgment, and accountability in the use of glue traps.
Recognizing the importance of supporting other women in traditionally male-dominated industries, Susan also partners with and sponsors Women in Pest & Wildlife Control, helping create opportunities for women to grow professionally and pursue leadership roles.
"Working in the traditionally male-dominated manufacturing and pest management industries has shown me how much it matters for women to see a path to leadership and ownership," Susan said. "I'm grateful for the people who encouraged me along the way, and I want to help other women see what is possible for themselves."
A Special Moment to Celebrate
While the recognition was a meaningful professional achievement, Susan shared that one of the evening's most memorable moments was having her father accompany her to the gala. Having grown up around manufacturing and worked alongside her father early in her career, Susan credits him with helping build the foundation for her success.
"The best part of the night was having my dad as my date. I wouldn't be where I am today without him, and being able to share this moment with him meant more to me than I can put into words."
Susan's recognition reflects not only her accomplishments as an entrepreneur and manufacturing leader but also her commitment to strengthening the pest management industry and creating opportunities for others.
UPFDA is fortunate to have Susan's energy, expertise, and leadership serving our association. We congratulate her on this well-deserved honor and look forward to celebrating her continued success!
